How to claim a PNR

Procedure

The Amadeus PNR Claim function allows you to take responsibility for PNRs that were originally created and booked in another airline system, provided that the airline has an agreement with Amadeus. See GGPCAxx (xx is the airline code) to view a specific airline agreement with Amadeus.

Example of GGPCA for airline that does support PNR claim:

Claiming a PNR consists of two steps:

  1. The first step is to display the PNR. You can display the PNR by airline record locator or flight information. For example, to display a PNR by record locator, enter:

    To display a PNR By flight information, enter:

       ROCO50/01FEBLAXIAH-WALLACE

     

    Component Identifies
    50 Flight number
    /01FEB Slash followed by travel date
    LAXIAH City pairs
    -WALLACE Dash followed by the last name

     

    Note:   The PNR is displayed in its original format. At this point, the PNR is still the airline's responsibility.
  2. The second step is to end the transaction. This step changes the airline's PNR to an Amadeus PNR and transfers the responsibility of the PNR to your office.

Once you have claimed the PNR, you can modify it as you would any Amadeus PNR.

If the airline's PNR does not contain a Ticketing Arrangement element, the System will automatically insert a Ticketing Time Limit (TKTL) element with the date of the claim.

When you display the airline's PNR by the flight information, the result could be a similar name list, like this one:

When the last column shows *SECURED* , this indicates that you are not autorized to claim these PNRs.

To display the PNR, enter the transaction code RO followed by the line number from the list. For example:

RO3

To return to the similar name list, enter RO and the number zero. For example:
